Eevee's Wisdom: Gentle Reminders for Your Heart
Woof woof! Eevee here, and sometimes, even for the happiest of dogs (and humans!), life can feel a bit overwhelming. In those moments, it's so important to have some gentle reminders to help us feel calm and grounded.
Think of these as little pats on the head for your heart, helping you remember how strong and capable you truly are.
Just like a good stick, a strong affirmation is something you can hold onto:
"Feelings are temporary." A big bark of anxiety or a quiet whine of sadness won't last forever. They are visitors, not permanent residents. Acknowledge them, and remember that new feelings are always just around the corner, just like my next walk!
"You are enough." You don't need to be perfectly trained, flawlessly behaved, or the best at everything to deserve love and kindness. You are inherently worthy, right now, just as you are.
"It's okay to ask for help." Whether it's a cuddle, a listening ear from a therapist, or just someone to hold your leash when the path gets steep, asking for support is a sign of wisdom and strength, not weakness. We all need our pack!
"Progress, not perfection." I still sometimes try to sneak a piece of food off the counter (shhh!). We all make mistakes. Focus on how far you've come, not on the impossible goal of being perfect. Every small step forward is a victory worth celebrating with a happy tail wag.
